Okay, so I am not typically seen as someone who is "by the book" and worried about the "plan," but with the addition of Lily I have felt the overwhelming urge to be just that - mostly to have a plan. The first week of her little life I found myself frantically reading baby help books during late night feedings and stressing about when she was eating and when she was sleeping and getting her on her "schedule" - which I now realize was a little bit ridiculous. Thank you to all of you moms out there who have reminded me over the last couple of weeks that two weeks old is not the time to worry about all of that stuff. Turns out, Lily can function just fine on her own schedule without my prodding. We feel extremely blessed that she is sleeping pretty well and eating even better. The next goal will be for her to be back at her birthweight when we go to the doctor Monday. She had 4 ounces to gain this week so we have switched her to heavier free weights for bulk and upped her Creatine intake for the bog weigh-in.
Here is a completely random picture of my sister and my nephew, Griffin, eating a smore on his first camping trip last week. I just thought it was too cute not to share and a good image to kick off this year's camping season. Lily will be right behind you Griffin, as soon as we find her a tiny headlamp.
